KEYSTONE SPONSORS SENIOR RESOURCE ALLIANCE SYMPOSIUM, A NEW PATH TO AGING, February 2011

Keystone Financial Partners, a member of the Senior Resource Alliance of the Triangle, is a proud sponsor of their upcoming symposium, A New Path to Aging, on March 12 from 9 am to 1 pm at the McKimmon Center on Western Blvd, just across the street from the North Carolina State University campus.

This workshop will focus on educating seniors and their families on options available to guide them through the challenges and pitfalls on the road ahead. Caroline Farmer, Deputy Director for the Attorney General's office will give the keynote address on Identity Theft and Scams followed by a variety of presentations on senior related topics. Jim Trull will be one of the presenters, discussing the most common mistakes retirees make with their money and how to avoid them.

Pre-registration for this event is only $10. Deadline is March 4, so be sure to register early! Admission will be $15 at the door.

JIM TRULL ACHIEVES AIF® DESIGNATION, November 2010

Jim Trull, President of Keystone Financial Partners, recently passed the exam to become an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®). Administered by fi360, the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) professional designation is the industry's first and only designation that demonstrates knowledge and competency in the area of fiduciary responsibility and communicates a commitment to standards of investment fiduciary excellence. AIF® designees have a reputation in the industry as being the best positioned to implement a prudent process into their own investment practices.

CHRIS WALSH EARNS SERIES 7 DESIGNATION, November 2010

Chris passed his Series 7 exam in November 2010. Administered by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Series 7 is a General Securities Representative designation, which covers all security products including corporate securities, municipal securities, municipal fund securities, options, direct participation programs, investment company products and variable contracts. Chris self-studied for this six-hour exam as well as attended a one-week study session in Charlotte, NC. He will be taking the state level Series 63 exam in the near future. Congratulations to Chris on this accomplishment!

TAMI HOLLINGSWORTH PASSES SERIES 6 & 63 EXAMS, November 2010

Tami recently earned her Series 6 & 63 designations with Commonwealth Financial Network. Administered by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Series 6 exam covers Investment Company Products and Variable Contracts. The Series 63 is a Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam administered by the North American Securities Administors Association (NASAA). This exam includes the principles of state securities regulation reflected in the Uniform Securities Act. Tami self-studied over several months for both of these exams. Congratulations to Tami on earning these designations.
