Tami Hollingsworth was born in Annapolis, Maryland and grew up just outside of the Navy town. She came to Raleigh when she attended North Carolina State University. A few years after graduation, she moved back to Maryland and after a short while, relocated to Denver, Colorado with her husband, Mike. After having their two daughters, Erin and Gwen, they wanted to get back to the east coast to be closer to family. Tami loved Raleigh so much that she convinced her husband to move here. In Raleigh, she expanded her family by adopting a German Sheppard/Beagle mix dog named Callie.
While in Denver, Tami enjoyed many active outdoors sports, from hiking and back-country camping to skiing, rock climbing and white water rafting. Life has slowed down some with the children, but she and her family still enjoy the great outdoors and camp every chance they get. She is also now introducing her children to rock climbing and skiing.
Tami enjoys travelling and seeing new places. While out west, they were able to visit Rocky Mountain National Park, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park and Mount Rushmore. Back on the east coast, they've been to Disney World and Niagara Falls, among other places. She also enjoys watching movies and reading.
Since moving to Raleigh, Tami has been active in her neighborhood, serving as their Neighborhood Association President for two terms and helping out with her daughters' school through the PTA.
